Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Supply Chain Managers are responsible for the timely, cost-effective procurement, inventory control, planning and quality control of production materials.

They ensure the availability of materials in the supply chain, as scheduled, and the maintenance of inventory at the established levels.

They coordinate and integrate the flow of materials and information among suppliers, manufacturers, distributors and customers, identifying opportunities for improving efficiency, effectiveness and capabilities of the supply chain.

Resources are focused on continuous improvement of the movement of materials through production processes, and the establishment of key performance metrics and benchmarks to monitor actual performance against goals.

What your background should look like:

TE Connectivity's Materials Planning Teams are responsible for the plans, schedules, and monitoring of the movement of material through the production cycle.

They determine quantity and order date for materials to meet production or engineering schedules, initiate purchase or production requisitions compliant with supply agreements, and develop the schedule to be used in the production facility based on forecasts and historical analysis.

The Team develops specifications for new contract orders as well as forecasts and plans for labor requirements.

They provide timely and accurate input on supplier performance and may be asked to participate in higher level supplier performance reviews with the strategic sourcing team.

They also monitor cost, schedule and scope of assigned subcontracts to assure best quality at best value.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS

• Coach and mentor in best supply chain practices within the team.
• Lead Continuous Improvement initiatives to achieve hard and soft savings.
• Independently plans and prepares daily, weekly and monthly production schedules.

Align with other planners to establish sequence and lead time of each operation, to meet ship dates, according to sales forecast and customer orders.
• Lead customer and vendor escalation meetings as required.
• Provide cross functional leadership across departments to solve supply imbalances.
• Prepares data & executive information to support the global S&OP process.
• Follow up actions post Supply Review.
• Analyze plant capacity for one or multiple tools and manage product conversions and new product introductions independently.
• Coordinates production plans to ensure materials are provided according to schedules to maintain production and provides input to management.

• Interfaces with purchasing, production, material handling, quality control, marketing, technical manufacturing, and customer service to review execution to production schedules, build plans and status of back order and other potential schedule interruptions or rescheduling.
• Determine and mitigate manpower, equipment, and raw materials constraints.
• Works on problems of moderate scope in which analysis of data or situation requires a review of uncertain factors related to planning, shortages, or related topics.


COMPETENCIES & SKILLS
• Excellent computer skills and advance in MS Excel
• Proven experience with complex planning and scheduling with dependent operations.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• Proven people skills required, must have the ability to work with others managing conflict with positive power and influence skills.
• Ability to handle confidential and intellectual property information.
• Organizational and problem-solving skills required.
• English: B2+
• Medical Device Industry Experience (is a plus)

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS 
• Minimum of 5 years of production knowledge.


• Bachelor of Engineering, International Trade, Business Administration or Related to Supply Chain.

Professional Training & Certifications
• APICS CPIM certification (is a plus)
